Confidentiality & Privacy Policy
The law protects the relationship between a client and a therapist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission.
Information may be shared if:
Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse, for which I am required by law to report to the appropriate authorities immediately.
If a client is threatening serious harm to another person(s), I must notify the authorities and warn the victim.
If a client intends to harm themselves or others, I will make efforts to keep the client safe and have their cooperation. If further concerns arise, I will alert the appropriate individuals and take further measures without their permission, these are provided to me by law, in order to ensure the client safety.
Client Privacy
Growing Minds Educational Psychology holds client privacy to the utmost standard. We comply with HIPAA, and CCPA.
Data collected may be from: client intake forms, mental health history, contacts, scheduling, payment information, online form responses and site analytics.
Data may be used to: provide therapeutic and coaching services, manage scheduling appointments, billing or support, and to review and analyze how to improve digital client experience.
Disclosure: We do not sell your information. Sharing of information only occurs with your consent, with service providers (e.g. therapists, or billing platforms), or when required by law in an emergency circumstance.
You have the right to: request copies, corrections, or deletion of your records, limit how your data may be shared, and EU/California residents have additional rights (e.g. opt-out, portability, etc.)
Secure data: We utilize end-to-end encryption, encrypted storage, secure portals, and HIPAA-compliant software to protect client information.
